FESTIVITIES

The St. Augustine Greek Festival is about so much more than tantalizing your taste buds. We’re thrilled to share Greek culture and heritage with you on October 7th and 8th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of St. Augustine located at 2940 CR 214.

OPA!

Throughout the Festival, you’ll be surrounded by the sounds of Greek music courtesy of DJ Taki Entertainment. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy performances by regional Greek dance troupes both on Saturday and Sunday. The Greek dancers will even teach folk dance lessons. (If you’re really striving to be Greek for the weekend, participation is highly encouraged!)

KALI OREXI!

Because Greek culture is deeply rooted in breaking bread with family and friends, Greek cuisine is always a highlight of the annual event. You’ll have the opportunity to watch our sefs (chefs) grill a lamb on the spit. Stop by the outdoor cooking booth for an authentic gyro and fries. Quench your thirst with Ouzo Lemonade or a Greek Frappe. Stock up on your favorite baked goods (and definitely try the baklava sundae!) Then, step inside the church’s community hall to get your fill of all of your favorite dishes. (And be sure to pick up extra to take home!) To view all of the homemade goodness that awaits you, check out this year’s menu.

YASOU!

But wait, there’s more! During the event, shop the Church's Agora (market), filled with Greek baked goods, pantry staples and delicacies. Then swing by St. Theodora's Gift Shop and Bookstore to enhance your home and find gifts directly from Greece. The shop features a beautiful selection of embroidered linens, kitchen towels, and pillows; hand-painted ceramics from Greek artists; one of a kind key chains and prayer rope bracelets - plus, Orthodox books and icons.

The St. Augustine Greek Festival will also feature an arts and crafts show. Walk around and shop the outdoor market for unique handcrafted products made by local and regional artists and artisans.

KOINONIA

In service to our neighbors, the St. Augustine Greek Festival is thrilled to once again provide a portion of the event proceeds to support the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County. During the festival there will also be a food drive to collect shelf-stable products to restock their pantry. Please considering donating!

The local non-profit agency provides transitional and permanent affordable housing to families who have encountered difficult times and are in crisis. The program is not a hand-out, but a hand-up. They help homeless families who want to help themselves. Emergency Services and Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County has 23 homes for single-parent or two-parent families located on a 5-acre campus in West Augustine.
